Specifically it is designed for use in synovectomies which are procedures in which there is a partial or total remove of the synovial membrane from a joint. These rongeurs feature rounded handles as well as spring action that allows them to be comfortable to grip as well as effective and precise in their handling. Additionally the jaws are 2.0 mm wide making them effective at comfortable gripping and maintaining hold of the synovium and are available either curved or slightly curved to conform to the shape of the tissue without causing damage.
